Our client, a luxury hotel is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet Captain to join the team and ensure flawless execution of banquet events.
As a Banquet Captain, you will oversee the coordination and execution of banquet events, including weddings, conferences, and special occasions. You will lead a team of banquet staff to deliver exceptional service, exceed guest expectations, and create unforgettable experiences for our clients and their guests.
Responsibilities:
Supervise banquet staff and provide leadership, guidance, and support during event setup, service, and breakdown.
Coordinate event details with clients, event planners, and internal departments to ensure all requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
Oversee the setup of banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations according to event specifications.
Manage banquet service, including directing servers, bartenders, and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the event.
Anticipate and address any issues or concerns that arise during events, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
Ensure adherence to food and beverage safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, event planners, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies, tracking equipment, and managing event budgets.
Provide exceptional customer service, respond to guest inquiries and feedback, and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of banquet operations, including event setup, service standards, and food and beverage service.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
TIPS or SafeServ certification a plus.
