Our client, a luxury hotel in Baltimore, MD is currently seeking a talented Prep Cook to join our culinary team and contribute to the success of our renowned hospitality establishment.


As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and ensuring kitchen sanitation standards are met. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced chefs and gain valuable experience in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking according to recipes and portion specifications.

  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas.

  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety standards are met.

  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food production.

  • Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and restocking supplies as needed.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a prep cook or in a similar culinary role preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
