Our client, a luxury hotel is looking to add a motivated and dedicated Steward to the team who will deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
In this role, you would be responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and service ware in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties:
-Wash dishes and operate the dishwasher to clean all chinaware, silverware and cooking utensils
- Clean pots and pans
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service
- Burnish, de-tarnish and polish silver
- Stock and maintain supplies and equipment
- Perform cleaning duties including, but not limited to mopping and trash removal
- Train other stewards as needed
- Prepare and set clean silverware out for events and functions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting trays or other items weighing up to 25 pounds
