​Our client, a luxury hotel in South Beach is seeking Pool attendant to work 7am - 4pm and 10am - 6pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of pool & beach area, set-up, and breakdown.

  • Assist guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel, Forbes, and Leading Hotels of the World standards.

  • Ensures that work station is clean at all the times.

  • Verify and Check in guests at pool and beach huts.

  • Verify and check in outside clients with reservations to access pool and beach.

  • Provide wristbands to guests and reservation clients daily.

  • Set up retail merchandise and water station at pool desk daily.

  • Set up cabana and daybed rented for each day.

  • Set up and break down daybeds at beach area daily.

  • Answer phone calls and radios according to standards.

  • Use drills for beach umbrellas as needed by guests.

  • Bring bins of clean towels to pool desk, north and south hut as scheduled.

  • Bring dirty bins to basement and weight them.

  • Communicate weight of each bin to management.

  • Keep chairs and tables clean and clear of linen and debris throughout the day.

  • Adhere to all Aloha procedures.

  • Verify guest satisfaction.

  • Anticipate guest needs.

  • Attend all training classes and departmental meetings.

  • Adhere to all the opening and closing duties, including end of shift report procedures.

  • Adhere to all cash handling policies.

  • Attend daily pre-shift/communication meeting.

  • Generate a good atmosphere.

  • Ensure all pool and beach furniture is neatly arranged and cleaned as well.

  • Adhere to towel card standard operating procedures.

  • Provide guests with towel and chair service.

  • Open all umbrellas, clean table tops, and wipe off all chairs.

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience with a pool & beach operation.

  • Previous food service experience helpful.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.

  • Ability to lift from 25-80 pounds.

  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with guests, vendors and co-workers.

  • Must read, write and speak the English language fluently.

  • High school diploma or general education.

  • Flexible schedule; availability to work weekends and holidays.
