​Our client, a luxury hotel on South Beach Miami, FL is looking to add a motivated and dedicated Steward to the team who will deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. 

As a Steward, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to hygiene will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, contributing to the overall efficiency of the culinary operations. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to hotel standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.

  • Ensure proper storage of clean dishes and equipment in designated areas.

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.

  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

  • Support the culinary team in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

  • Handle all cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a steward or in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant environment preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
